We Celebrate!

We are thrilled to announce that Gram Commercial’s Superior Plus K72G has won the prestigious ProCold ‘Award for Europe’s Best Products’ in the Vertical Chilled Storage Cabinet category.

The ProCold product competition recognizes the most energy efficient refrigeration appliances with climate friendly refrigerants in Europe.

Winners were confirmed through independent laboratory tests according to the latest measurement standards and draft Ecodesign/Energy label regulations.

The award ceremony took place in Düsseldorf on 7 March 2017 in the ECOpark Forum at Euroshop and was attended by both Gram Commercial and Hoshizaki Europe company representatives.

What is the ProCold Project?

By showcasing the best products in five, separate, refrigeration categories, ProCold, a project supported by the EU’s Horizon 2020 Research & Innovation Programme, is aiming to support and hasten the switch to climate-friendly refrigerants.

ProCold’s TopTen competition seeks to establish the most energy efficient professional and commercial refrigeration equipment currently available in Europe. Its mission is to:

• identify the professional and commercial cold products with the highest energy efficiency (and climate friendly refrigerant use)
• highlight and increase visibility of such products among professional buyers and other stakeholders
• promote their further market uptake
• motivate the development and offer of increasingly efficient energy-using products in the European market.

Why the Superior Plus?

The award winning, stylish Superior Plus K72G, with its net usable volume of 463 litres, is from an extensive range of 5th generation Gram gastronorm refrigerated storage cabinets, sold by the Hoshizaki Group in Europe. Its ground-breaking design utilises exclusively HFC-free refrigerants and its annual energy consumption is just 285 kWh meaning that it has achieved an energy efficiency rating of A.

We are delighted that our commitment to manufacturing energy efficient refrigeration has been recognised by the important and influential ProCold Topten Project. The award will help to further assure our existing and future Hoshizaki customers that they are choosing the most beneficial products for a green future.
