Our Flake & Nugget Ice Makers belong to the true all-rounders of the Hoshizaki product line-up. As the Flake and Nugget Ice Makers convert all water brought into the machine, the water consumption equals its ice production. Additionally, all Flake and Nugget Ice Makers use the natural refrigerant R290, which is environmentally friendly and energy efficient.

Being proven free of all impurities and meeting even the strictest hygiene requirements, Hoshizaki flake ice is even used for organ transport and other medical purposes.

FLAKE ICE

The light texture flake ice, for example, has a quick cooling effect, creating an environment of uniform temperatures, without causing unpleasant freezer burn. This is why Hoshizaki Flake ice is highly popular and considered the ideal material to prepare and layer hygienic and attractive food displays. For flake ice, the extruding head is equipped with wide channels and multi-blade cutters.

NUGGET ICE

Hoshizaki FM ice makers generate quality granular ice, such as nugget ice.
In cocktails, the dry and hard ice nuggets are the ideal cooling agent, as they deliver just the right amount of dilution, especially for strong-spirited drinks, for example, Mojitos and Tiki Cocktails.

The ice maker’s extruding head performs a high compression to yield harder and drier ice nuggets.

CUBELET ICE

Both cubelet and nugget ice are granular ice types, and both are popular for chilling drinks very quickly. Cubelet Ice is larger and more chewable than traditional nugget ice. It absorbs liquids and flavours readily while displaying good drink displacement. Comparable to Nugget Ice Maker, the Cubelet Ice Maker has an extruding head with narrower channels and wider cutters for compressed, but chewable cubelets.
